image701.jpg Day 7 was our 2nd Fun day at sea.  It started with Dennis and Anna singing with the deck band. We enjoyed Beautiful weather on Thursday, It was easily in the upper 80’s and the sun was out in full strength.  The perfect day for sun and partying on the Lido deck. (more…)

image601.jpg Arriving in St Maarten provided us with some beautiful views of the island.  On previous cruises to both St. Thomas and St. Maarten we arrived overnight and did not get a chance to see the islands from sea.  This trip let us see what we had previously missed.  We were arriving on the Dutch side of the island which is called St. Maarten and porting in the town of Philipsburg.  The northern French half of the island is known as St. Martin and has a main town of Marigot.  (more…)

image51.jpgToday was day 5 of our trip, day 4 of the actual cruise.  We arrived in St Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands.  Yes I said U.S. as in United States.  The U.S. Virgin Islands are a territory of the United States, we purchased them back in 1917 for a cool $25 million dollars.  What a deal, we saw yachts in port that were worth more than that. The 3 musketeers with buckets of beers! They call it a fun day at sea!  Yes that is what life is all about on the Fun Ship, the Carnival Glory. We can attest to that statement.  Not that we did all that much but a number of us just laid around on the Lido deck absorbing the sunshine.  Well there was more than the sunshine absorbed, quite a few buckets of beer, bloody marys and fun ship drinks as well.  (more…)

image00005.jpgDay 3 was our port day in Nassau Bahamas.  Most of us in the group had not been to Nassau and we were a bit concerned as to what to expect.  We heard it was dirty and the people were very rude, the beach vendors would never leave you alone and so on.   As the saying goes, experience is the best teacher, we heard no big complaints on the port.
