Day 8 of our trip was our last full day on the ship as well as another Fun Ship day at sea. This day ended up being the worst weather day of the cruise. It was windy, cool and the rain was falling from time to time. I think a number of our group took naps, some played cards and others just relaxed. There was a disembarkation talk in the theatre, I missed it but others from our group attended. (more…)
Day 7 was our 2nd Fun day at sea. It started with Dennis and Anna singing with the deck band. We enjoyed Beautiful weather on Thursday, It was easily in the upper 80’s and the sun was out in full strength. The perfect day for sun and partying on the Lido deck. (more…)
Arriving in St Maarten provided us with some beautiful views of the island. On previous cruises to both St. Thomas and St. Maarten we arrived overnight and did not get a chance to see the islands from sea. This trip let us see what we had previously missed. We were arriving on the Dutch side of the island which is called St. Maarten and porting in the town of Philipsburg. The northern French half of the island is known as St. Martin and has a main town of Marigot. (more…)
Today was day 5 of our trip, day 4 of the actual cruise. We arrived in St Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. Yes I said
They call it a fun day at sea! Yes that is what life is all about on the Fun Ship, the Carnival Glory. We can attest to that statement. Not that we did all that much but a number of us just laid around on the Lido deck absorbing the sunshine. Well there was more than the sunshine absorbed, quite a few buckets of beer, bloody marys and fun ship drinks as well. (more…)
